There’s nothing quite like getting settled into a new home. Whether it’s your first home or a new-to-you home, it feels like a wonderful fresh start. Neither of us is moving any time soon, but we were getting nostalgic about all the things that would be have been amazing to have when we first moved in. Tools That Save the Day
No matter how new your home is to you or in life, there are always little fixes that need to be done from changing a light bulb to taking plug covers off to paint… whatever it is, you definitely want to have a set of tools on hand. We also find ourselves constantly needing more plugs, so starting off with a nice multi-plug is definitely a must.
Home Basic Must Haves You Definitely Need
Have you ever had one of those crappy garbage bins that constantly topples over or gets so gross? When you’re in a new home, you don’t want to gunk it up with nastiness right?! That’s why we added this trash can to our list of must haves. It’s dual-sided for recycling and trash, but it cleans up easily too.
And speaking of cleaning, no new home is ready for habitants unless you have your cleaning supplies ready and waiting. We are OBSESSED with the Little Green Machine first of all. If you don’t already have one, this is a serious must… especially if you have pets and/or kids.
Plus, a good regular vacuum for quick clean ups never hurt either. We also love the crevice cleaning brushes too. They work so good and keep your new home feeling like new. And don’t sleep on investing in some nice pillows and some fresh organizers to really make your home feel fresh and new.

And last, but not least, you’ve gotta make sure your kitchen is setup for success. A new set of knives is not only fun to bring into the mix, but these stay sharp for a really long time.
